2nd Week Of Co-Op!

 

So last week on Friday I started my first day of Co-Op.....EVER! It was great. If you don't know

 what a Co-Op is i will briefly explain. A Co-Op is for homeschoolers to meet once or twice a 

week to do classes in a classroom environment. The parents teach whatever they like to do or 

have a passion for. So this is my fist Co-Op i have ever attended (officially) and it went great. I 

have four classes that I take there, and they are as follows: Biology, World History, Writing, and

 Spanish. It has been a really great experience so far and i am loving it! The only down-side is 

that I have to get up at 6:00 a.m. to get there on time because it takes almost an hour to get 

there! Other than that it is awesome. Than each week after Co-Op we are assigned homework 

that is due the following week, so it really helps with your accountability and not just slacking 

cause you can because you homeschool. The BEST part for me is for me to be able to see my

 friend Mia who has not been able to come to church for awhile. She will be coming back in just 

6 weeks!!!! But until then I will have to settle for Fridays. But anyways, Co-Op has been a great 

experience so far!

Wild Adventures POSTPONED!

Wild Adventures was POSTPONED! Because of the tropical storm, our trip to Wild Adventures has been postponed till June 8th. Technically this is a good thing because I am now sick, and so are some of my friends that were going as well. Altogether it is better that this has happened, even though I was really looking forward to this trip. If it hadn't been cancelled, we would be riding rides in the rain and I would have been miserable and sick. So this is a better situation. Okay now onto a happier matter. I am getting a new mattress today!!! After a long time with back pains, my dad finally caved into getting be a new mattress. It took some pleading, but it finally happened. Tonight will be the first night of better sleep! Alright so I have one more thing to say. The reason I told you about the WA trip is because if you were looking forward to the pictures of the trip, you would have been waiting forever. So I had to inform you of this change. My pics will be posted a day or two  after I go on June 8th. That's my heads up for all of you. Hope you are looking forward to those pics. In the mean time I will probably still be posting updates on my blog, so always check back here for some new stories. I have been trying to be a more avid blogger.(I think thats the word I am looking for) Alright, I hope you enjoyed this update. It was a little informative, but now you have all the details. I am going to Wild Adventures!

       I know I haven't been on in like FOREVER, but I am back! So I can't wait until this Tuesday, when I will be going to Wild Adventures! This isn't my first time, but last time I went it was Winter, and I didn't get to go to the water park. So now I am gonna have the FULL experience. I have heard that the water park is really fun from many people, but they haven't been there in a couple of years. I know it will still be AWESOME though. I will definitely update you guys after I go to tell you how it was and show you some pics and maybe a video. Looking forward to the 2 1/2 hour drive with my friends!

Tomorrow is our church retreat!

Ok, so tomorrow is my first church retreat EVER. I have heard so many good things about it and I can't wait. It is at a new place this year but it should still be just as fun as I have heard it has been in the past. There are so many amenities at the place we are staying, it is amazing. There is also a talent show which I will be taking part in singing. Wish me luck. The theme of this church retreat is Think Biblically.  There will be a speaker talking about our worldviews and how to keep them biblical. I can't wait for a weekend of not just fun but also the enrichment of our spirits. This is going to be great!

I am going to North Carolina!

I am leaving in less than 2 days to go to North Carolina! I can't wait. It will be colder than here but probably won't snow. Boo hoo. I will have fun anyway with my friend. We will have a great time hanging out together. We haven't hung out in a while. Please pray fro safe travels for me and my mom. We are flying. Wathcing tv shows about flights crashing is not a good idea. I am fine though I like riding planes except for my sensitive ears. Well I am going to have to start packing soon. VERY soon!

I......... AM still alive!

Ok so I haven't blogged in like forever so I am getting back to tell you I am still alive. I had an awesome weekend at WINTER JAM! It was so fun. My favorite band out of them all was Sanctus Real. They had a great performance. It was a God-centered night full of great music. It was full of tons of people who know and love God or are just hearing the good news for the first time. People come to God at Winter Jam and that is the most important part of what they do. Through the music people come to know God and His Son Jesus Christ. The night was fun and LOUD but I had a great time. I encourage people to go and bring your unsaved friends because it can change their lives.

THANKSGIVING!

So Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I can't wait to eat all the yummy food. Turkey, mashed potatoes, and corn casserole. But Thanksgiving is not all about the food it is also about giving thanks to God for EVERYTHING you have. Even through the rough times when you don't want to be thankful you should. I have a hard time being thankful for things I didn't want to happen or think are a punishment, but God put those things there for a specific reason unknown to me. I know sometimes Thanksgiving comes around and you feel as if there is nothing to be thankful about so you dread the holiday. Well there is always God sending His Son to die on the cross for our sins and we should always be thankful for that if nothing else. Another reason for Thanksgiving is spending time with family and friends. I am going down to Mims to see my brothers, aunt, uncles, grandparents, and cousins. I know I will have a great time. In the end Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, spending time with family, and then you can enjoy the delicious food. I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving.

Sunday Fun!

So on Sunday after church on a beautiful, crisp, cool morning my friend, and fellow blogger Mia came over with her family for lunch. We ate Pizza Hut pizza, played cards, and she helped me learn more about my blog. We had a lot of fun together. I really enjoyed her company. We wanted to be able to visit longer, but they had to go. We bid our goodbyes and that was the end of a great day. On the bright side I saw her yesterday at the AMAZING Todd Wilson talk at Hillcrest Baptist.He was hilarious. I have had a great week so far, lets pray that it will stay that way.

Going to the Metro Diner

So we went to the Metro Diner in Jacksonville today for breakfast. We had seen this place on T.V. and we just had to visit it. My dad had been there before and said it was good, so we decided to go this morning for a late breakfast.



I got the NORMAL sized short stack of pancakes I could of gotten one twelve inch pancake ( the large pancake) but I chose this instead. It's a good thing to I didn't even finish these.



My Mom got the Yo Hala which is French Toast made with challa bread and filled with a cream cheese and banana filling and topped with blueberry preserves.

The Metro Diner had good food and I liked what I had. I took the rest of my food home for tomorrow so that I could have it again. It was a good experience.

Setting up my blog

So today I wanted to pull my hair out so badly.

I was trying to set up my blog to make it look

 better and was trying to add menu buttons.

I searched the Internet for help on how to do that.

I tried tons of different sites that told me what to do but for me they weren't working.       

I signed up for a bunch of things that I didn't need to, spent hours trying to figure things out

 and still nothing.

I finally found a site that told me how to do it with a video to go along.

Hooray it worked after about 3 hrs of trying.

My Life (My first post..... ever!)

Hey I'm Caitlyn and I have a friend who blogs and I decided I wanted to start a blog of my own. I asked her some questions on what my blog should be about because I didn't want to start a blog just to start one. I wanted it to be thought over carefully before I made a decision. She told me to write about real life. Basically not be fake or make it seem like I have it all together always but be real, true, and honest. I have to say I am not the greatest fan of writing. I like writing stories and such but this is the first time I am writing about something real not fake. I still have that email from my friend so it will always encourage me to keep blogging. Hopefully this blogging experience will help me LOVE writing.
